As a country kid, he first came into contact with the global roots of
music as a guitarist and singer with a local band whose repertoire
included everything from the Schneewalzer to the blues. With
Liederlich Spielleut he founded what became a cult band for
connoisseurs. In the 1990s he performed with Erika Pluhar and
Kurt Ostbahn. Those who are familiar with his works appreciate
how he has retained a high level of sophistication, particularly
in collaborating with Otto Lechner. Still legendary are the Bethlehem
All Stars and Los Gringos.... Light entertaining music of the finest
sort, performed with a good dose of seriousness.
