Gallagher went through many stages that are typical for a
rock musician. Influenced by the Rolling Stones and soul,
he honed his skills on the guitar by playing with different
groups. After graduating in art from the University of Maryland,
he had gigs as a guitarist and singer with everything from rock
to country bands – including one with Tiny Tim. Is the ukulele
infectious? Well, Gallagher joined the New York Jug Addicts
in the late 1990s and has not put down his ukulele since.
Living in Graz, his adopted hometown, has done nothing to
change this….
